About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze how members discover, adopt, and engage with new social and group experiences
Help define success metrics and funnels for new, still-evolving products
Design and analyze experiments, including cases where members interact and standard A/B assumptions do not hold
Collaborate with Data Science, Product, and Engineering partners to translate insights into actionable strategies
Present key findings and project outcomes to Product and Leadership teams during end-of-internship demos
Translate data insights into clear narratives and recommendations that inform product roadmaps and user experience improvements
Size opportunities and answer product questions to inform roadmap decisions
Help build new ways for people to meet on Tinder, including group and shared experiences and new modes of using the app

Requirements

What you’ll need

Passion for using data and experimentation to solve complex problems
Intermediate to advanced SQL skills for data querying and analysis
Working proficiency in Python
Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and experimentation
Clear written communication, including explaining findings to non-technical partners
Strong product sense and curiosity about how people connect socially
Comfort using AI tools (e.g., LLM-based coding and analysis assistants) as a regular part of your workflow, and judgment to check their output
Currently pursuing a BS/BA, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Applied Math, or a related field
Nice to have: experience with network or social data, or with experiments where members interact
