About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct laboratory and production floor testing using Hot Set, Melt Index, Optical Comparator/Shadowgraph, Calipers, Micrometers, and other inspection equipment
  • Inspect materials and finished products to verify compliance with quality requirements
  • Prepare Certificates of Analysis for tested materials and products
  • Review and approve incoming raw material Certificates of Analysis and Certificates of Conformance
  • Identify, document, and escalate nonconforming products or processes for corrective action
  • Assist with corrective and preventive action activities through accurate testing, inspection, and documentation
  • Facilitate the closure of internal Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
  • Provide quality data and information needed to investigate and resolve product and process concerns
  • Help ensure nonconforming products and processes are identified, contained, and properly addressed
  • Audit production processes for compliance with established quality standards and requirements
  • Support calibration compliance and equipment verification activities
  • Confirm inspection and testing equipment is properly verified and suitable for use
  • Maintain accurate and organized quality records
  • Collect, compile, and analyze quality data
  • Assist in developing and improving testing methods
  • Support the creation and maintenance of inspection plans
  • Use Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and other software tools for quality-related activities
  • Work closely with Production Supervisors regarding inspections, quality concerns, and production priorities
  • Communicate with Purchasing and Supply Chain teams regarding supplier quality concerns
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and HSE teams on continuous improvement, compliance, and workplace safety initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality inspection or quality control
  • Working knowledge of inspection and laboratory equipment, including Hot Set, Melt Index, Optical Comparator/Shadowgraph, Calipers, and Micrometers
  • Ability to accurately inspect, test, document, and evaluate product quality requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data management tools
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
  • Strong understanding of measurement tools and inspection methodologies
  • Effective organizational, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a production, laboratory, and office environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • IATF 16949 experience preferred
  • Certified Auditor or Quality Technician certificates preferred
