About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Influence profitable growth of Mattr’s DSG-Canusa business across the Western United States.
  • Build demand with OEMs and end users.
  • Strengthen the company’s distribution and sales-agent network.
  • Help customers identify technical solutions meeting their requirements.
  • Develop and execute a regional sales plan across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, California, Utah, and Arizona.
  • Build relationships with OEMs, end users, distributors, engineering firms, and sales agents through visits, meetings, technical presentations, telephone, and email.
  • Generate demand by targeting new customers, applications, markets, and end-use specifications.
  • Develop and manage channel strategy through distributor training, joint customer visits, agent support, and coordinated targeting with Inside Sales.
  • Manage opportunities from qualification through quotation and order fulfillment.
  • Make pricing and margin recommendations according to the established approval matrix.
  • Monitor sales, bookings, margins, budgets, customer activity, specifications, and agent performance through accurate records and monthly reporting.
  • Participate in industry committees, trade shows, and industry events; develop professional networks.
  • Provide market intelligence on competition, trends, new entrants, customer needs, market size, and product opportunities.
  • Collaborate with product managers and senior management to support strategic direction and adapt regional strategies.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • One or more years of sales or marketing experience in heat-shrinkable tubing, wire and cable, electrical, or electronics.
  • Experience with technical selling and channel management concepts.
  • Ability to develop relationships with customers, distributors, engineering firms, agents, and internal teams.
  • Commercial judgment related to pricing, margins, quotations, distribution, and customer requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and projects from qualification through order fulfillment.
  • Strong recordkeeping and reporting practices, including maintaining customer profiles and contact information.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 50%.
