About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and support annual marketing and business development plans
  • Collaborate with leadership and group leaders on annual budgets, strategic objectives, and tactics
  • Manage day-to-day assignments and projects in alignment with firm strategy
  • Support onboarding and integration of lateral lawyers
  • Develop and implement business development initiatives, including client targeting, campaigns, client satisfaction, seminars, roadshows, and networking events
  • Conduct research, analysis, and competitive intelligence gathering
  • Maintain CRM-based contact and marketing data
  • Collect and report matter experience
  • Coordinate directory submissions, regional surveys, league tables, industry surveys, awards, and other profile-raising initiatives
  • Coordinate business development training for lawyers
  • Manage RFP, pitch, presentation, and proposal responses
  • Develop and update marketing brochures, practice descriptions, lawyer bios, and related materials
  • Support local office seminars, sponsorships, events, and initiatives
  • Assist with supervision and training of junior team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet Firm goals and objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Six or more years of demonstrated success in a marketing, research, management, and/or communications-related field
  • Experience in professional services (e.g., law, accounting, or consulting) or comparable corporate, trade association, or academic sectors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a diverse team environment and support demanding Firm needs
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with shifting priorities
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative
  • Strong customer service, attention to detail, organizational, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with research techniques and databases used for competitive intelligence in a professional services company
  • Leadership and supervisory experience, including managing projects and workflows
  • Ability to analyze operational budgets and staffing levels
  • Ability to set priorities and delegate efficiently
  • May require occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
  • May require travel to other offices as needed
