About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage administrative tasks associated with South Carolina judicial foreclosures
  • Draft complaints and proofread legal documents
  • Respond to correspondence
  • Update the firm’s internal case management system and clients’ systems consistently and accurately
  • Provide customer service to clients at every level of interaction
  • Support attorneys in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment
  • Provide regular and timely client status updates
  • Follow up on outstanding documents and services
  • Coordinate with title contacts to complete recordings and retrieve missing documents
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed
  • Work in coordination with legal assistants and attorneys in a multidisciplinary team environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor Degree or Associates Degree preferred but not required
  • Preferably at least 3 years of relevant work experience specifically with complaint preparation or title review
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service
  • Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with borrowers, clients, attorneys, internal employees, and outside parties
  • Ability to work with others in a congenial and team-oriented manner
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to continual change
  • Ability to read and write at a high level for proofreading and editing
  • High-level proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Proficiency in internet research activities
  • Familiarity with case and document management software
  • Experience with client systems such as LoanSphere, Clairfire, Tempo, Vendorscape, and others preferred
  • Good understanding of the legal process surrounding foreclosure preferred
  • Experience reviewing title reports and identifying chain of title issues preferred
  • Ability to proficiently operate a computer, fax machine, scanner, photocopier, typewriter, and telephone
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future
  • No employment sponsorship or immigration support available, including CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, TN, E-3, H-1B, and O-1 sponsorship
