About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage administrative tasks associated with state and federal civil litigation
- Draft, prepare, proofread, and format memoranda, correspondence, legal notices, deeds, assignments, financial transactions, and other legal documents
- Ensure timely delivery of outgoing mail, messenger and overnight deliveries, and document recordings/retrievals
- Maintain a busy calendar and follow up on tasks
- Field calls from borrowers, clients, and other outside parties
- Respond to high-volume email correspondence in a timely, courteous, and thorough manner
- Develop and maintain relationships with business associates and clients
- Provide exceptional customer service, including client status updates and follow-up on outstanding documents and services
- Update the firm’s internal case management system and client systems accurately and consistently
- Support attorneys in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment
- Coordinate with legal assistants, paralegals, and attorneys in a multidisciplinary team
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or associate degree, and/or 1-3 years’ relevant administrative/legal work experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with borrowers, clients, attorneys, internal employees, and outside parties
- Ability to work with others in a congenial and team-oriented manner
- Exceptional organizational skills; ability to multitask and adapt to continual change
- Ability to read and write at a high level for proofreading and editing
- High-level proficiency in MS Office suite
- Familiarity with case and document management software
- Experience with systems such as LoanSphere and Tempo preferred
- Understanding of the legal process surrounding foreclosure, real property, and title preferred
- Experience reviewing title reports and identifying chain-of-title issues preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future
- No employment sponsorship or immigration support available, including CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, TN, E-3, H-1B, and O-1
