About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage Information Governance initiatives to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies
  • Maintain policies and procedures for proper management and protection of information
  • Manage work product related to Client Transfers, including attorney and client onboarding and offboarding
  • Manage electronically stored information using Information Governance technology systems
  • Enforce compliance with ethical and regulatory requirements for sensitive or protected data
  • Provide input on workflows, integrations, analytics, and technology solutions
  • Articulate Information Governance obligations to attorneys, paralegals, and staff
  • Resolve inquiries relating to Information Governance policies and procedures
  • Coordinate identification, transfer, and collection of responsive materials for attorney departures, lateral acquisitions, legal holds, and client transfers
  • Transfer electronic records to and from iManage and related repositories
  • Import, classify, and assign electronic data and metadata to client/matter workspaces
  • Document and classify outbound digital record transfers in ServiceNow
  • Develop working relationships with attorneys during onboarding and offboarding
  • Use Titan File, 7-zip, Prosperoware Milan, database reporting, and critical system dependencies
  • Collaborate with Legal and Business Operations personnel
  • Develop and maintain technology and workflow best practices
  • Implement information governance compliance procedures, documentation, educational materials, and internal controls
  • Coordinate appropriate security for workspaces and folders
  • Complete special projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or at least two (2) years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
  • Law firm experience preferred
  • Document Management System (iManage or NetDocs) experience preferred
  • Prosperoware Milan experience preferred
  • ServiceNow experience preferred
