About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate logistics for in-person and virtual meetings and events
  • Support development and preparation of presentation materials
  • Monitor program and project priorities, deliverables, and deadlines
  • Draft, review, and edit proposals, correspondence, presentations, and other documents
  • Document meetings and events through notes, photographs, and video as needed
  • Create content for social media, reports, and external communications
  • Maintain and update presentations, calendars, reports, proposals, and other program documents
  • Research trends related to community safety, public health, and violence prevention
  • Manage communications and follow-up with partners and program participants
  • Coordinate enrollment, registration, and follow-up activities
  • Manage social media accounts and web content, including planning, creating, scheduling, posting, and monitoring engagement
  • Maintain a calendar of events and observances relevant to violence prevention and community safety
  • Design and deliver presentations, facilitate meetings and trainings, and respond to technical assistance requests
  • Develop and implement templates and organizing processes supporting consistent program delivery
  • Maintain contact and relationship management systems and support partner relations
  • Represent CIC-DCS on internal and external committees and working groups

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required, with appropriate experience potentially substituted for education on an equivalent basis
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Experience supporting high-performing leaders and implementing virtual and in-person programs, meetings, and events
  • Mastery of Zoom and Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
  • Service-oriented team player with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
  • Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills
  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • Ability to occasionally lift moderate-weight materials, stand, or walk continuously
  • Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication
  • May occasionally need to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects
