About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own day-to-day accounting operations across multiple Medici entities
  • Manage accounts receivable, including membership billing, service invoicing, payment reconciliation, collections, and account maintenance
  • Ensure recurring membership and service invoices are generated accurately and on time
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable billing and payment tracking processes
  • Use AI, automation, and modern financial technology to streamline workflows, improve accuracy, reduce manual processes, and strengthen financial controls
  • Identify automation and AI-assistance opportunities across accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliation, reporting, forecasting, and other financial processes
  • Evaluate and implement tools, workflows, and process improvements for a scalable finance function
  • Manage accounts payable, vendor and contractor payments, employee reimbursements, expense review, and Bill.com workflows and approvals
  • Maintain accurate financial records and oversee activity within QuickBooks
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and provide reporting to leadership
  • Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting
  • Coordinate payroll processing and timely, accurate payments for employees and international contractors
  • Partner with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors
  • Develop and improve financial processes, controls, billing workflows, and reporting procedures
  • Work with Operations, Care Concierge, and Leadership teams on billing, reporting, and financial management
  • Identify process gaps, resolve financial discrepancies, and improve operational efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI, automation, or technology to improve finance and accounting processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting, finance, or financial operations experience
  • Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial controls
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with accounting and financial management systems; QuickBooks experience preferred
  • Experience with accounts payable and payment platforms such as Bill.com or similar systems preferred
  • Experience with multi-entity financial operations, recurring revenue, memberships, subscriptions, or healthcare billing preferred
  • CPA or similar professional accounting designation preferred, but not required
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of outcomes, and thrive in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment
  • Curiosity and willingness to continuously evaluate emerging AI and financial technologies
