About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide in-house technical support for Medtronic’s Electrophysiology Technologies portfolio
  • Serve customers and field staff on products such as the Affera™ Ablation System
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues through a Technical Support call center
  • Support time-sensitive situations during live procedures and outside clinical settings
  • Document customer interactions accurately and drive timely follow-up
  • Use support-case insights to inform cross-functional teams
  • Represent the Voice of the Customer and contribute feedback to continuous improvement and new product development
  • Resolve technical problems by telephone in a call center/help desk environment
  • Support installation, usage, and customer training for software and hardware products
  • Collaborate with technical, sales, customer service, and marketing staff to resolve recurring issues
  • Provide technical support for PC, server, or mainframe applications and hardware
  • Answer questions about system procedures, online transactions, system status, and downtime procedures
  • Work with network services, software systems engineering, and applications development to restore service or identify problems
  • Maintain a troubleshooting tracking log and ensure timely resolution
  • Recommend system modifications to reduce user problems
  • Participate in project and process teams, providing technical and clinical insight
  • Assist with Service Support Plans for new product development
  • Provide Educational, Service, Marketing, and Business support as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 4+ years experience OR Associate’s Degree AND 2+ years experience OR Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of work experience in a clinical/technical setting preferred
  • Technical or related experience in medical devices, MedTech, healthcare, life sciences, or relevant industries preferred
  • Experience in networked computer environments and operating systems (DOS, UNIX preferred)
  • Solid aptitude for PC/Desktop support
  • Prior technical service, support, and training experience
  • Experience in conflict management
  • Willingness to troubleshoot collaboratively in a team environment
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
  • Must reside within commuting distance of Mounds View, Minnesota for training and occasional onsite work
  • Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not offered for this role
