About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide in-house technical support for Medtronic’s Electrophysiology Technologies portfolio
- Serve customers and field staff regarding products such as the Affera™ Ablation System
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues through a Technical Support call center/help desk
- Support time-sensitive situations during live procedures and outside clinical settings
- Document all customer interactions accurately
- Drive timely follow-up and use support-case insights to inform cross-functional teams
- Represent the Voice of the Customer and contribute feedback to continuous improvement and new product development
- Resolve telephone-originated technical problems
- Resolve installation, usage, and customer training issues for software and hardware products
- Collaborate with technical, sales, customer service, and marketing staff on recurring product issues
- Support PC, server, or mainframe applications and hardware
- Answer questions about system procedures, online transactions, system status, and downtime procedures
- Interact with network services, software engineering, and application development to restore service or identify problems
- Maintain troubleshooting tracking logs and ensure timely resolution
- Recommend system modifications to reduce user problems
- Participate in project and process teams, providing technical and clinical insight
- Assist with Service Support Plans for new product development
- Provide educational, service, marketing, and business support as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 4+ years experience OR Associate’s Degree AND 2+ years experience OR Bachelor’s Degree
- Must reside within commuting distance of Mounds View, Minnesota
- 2+ years of work experience in a clinical/technical setting preferred
- Technical or related experience in medical devices, MedTech, healthcare, life sciences, or relevant industries preferred
- Experience in networked computer environments and operating systems; DOS and UNIX preferred
- Solid aptitude for PC/Desktop support
- Prior technical service, support, and training experience preferred
- Experience in conflict management preferred
- Willingness to troubleshoot collaboratively in a team environment
- For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, degree must satisfy 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A)
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization required at hire and throughout employment; sponsorship unavailable below Principal level
- Ability to work Monday-Friday schedules between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. CST, including occasional on-call shifts
- Ability to attend 100% onsite training in Mounds View for 3-6 months
- Ability to access campus on short notice
