About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and develop Territory Managers, Associate Territory Managers, and Clinical Specialists within the assigned district
- Achieve district sales objectives while representing Medtronic
- Oversee hiring, coaching, performance management, and professional development of the district sales team
- Drive execution of strategic sales initiatives and customer engagement activities
- Promote and sell Medtronic Neurovascular products and services within assigned geographic areas and/or customer accounts
- Develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with distributors, surgeons, nurses, and key opinion leaders
- Pursue leads, assess needs, and provide product services to maximize benefits from Neurovascular products and services
- Provide clinical and technical support during cases and inform clinicians of patient treatment options
- Promote education of company products and services
- Conduct and/or evaluate market research on customer and competitor activities
- Develop and/or implement market development plans and strategies
- Assess customer feedback regarding new products or modifications and communicate with R&D, Operations, and Marketing
- Establish relationships and collaborate with Marketing, Finance, HR, Sales Training, and other departments
- Cover a regional field territory including Indianapolis, Lexington, Louisville, Cincinnati, and Nashville
- Travel throughout the assigned territory, including approximately 50% driving time and occasional overnight travel
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience; or Advanced Degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant sales and leadership experience
- Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy
- Preferred: 10+ years of Medical Device experience, including 5+ years of Neurovascular or Neurosurgery experience
- Preferred: 3+ years of Sales Management experience
- Experience leading teams in complex healthcare environments, including medical sales, marketing, or hospital service line functions
- Proven ability to influence business results, increase procedure adoption, and drive revenue growth
- Clinical experience in the interventional suite, hospital setting, or emergency medical services environment
- Advanced negotiation and/or presentation experience with external suppliers, customers and/or vendors
- Ability to present information clearly and effectively in front of large audiences
- Strategic and analytical thinking
- Independently mobile
- Ability to interact with a computer for extended periods and communicate with peers and co-workers
- Ability to lift 20 pounds
- Ability to hear, see and speak fluently
- Ability to travel extensively by car and plane
- Ability to sit and stand 8 hours/day
- Ability to wear a lead apron for long periods of time (2–3 hours on average)
- Ability to operate a moving vehicle
- Ability to work in OR and/or hospital labs with radiation exposure
- Ability to conduct company business outside typical Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm schedule
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment; sponsorship is not offered for roles below Principal level
