Key responsibilities & impact

Own delivery of SAP transformation sub-projects including SAP MDG, data governance enablement, integration services, workflow automation, and reporting enablement
Establish project charters, delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, RAID logs, and success metrics
Define and manage scope, assumptions, dependencies, commitments, and outcomes
Drive execution across platforms, development, testing, release/cutover, deployment, and hypercare
Define target architecture, integration patterns, security approach, environment strategy, non-functional requirements, and operational support model
Lead architecture reviews and govern technical decisions
Ensure architecture diagrams, interface specifications, technical designs, validation evidence, runbooks, and support documentation meet standards
Govern system-integrator status reporting, validate progress, and surface risks
Identify delays, capacity gaps, and quality concerns; escalate with options, impacts, and recommendations
Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives, defect trend analysis, and process rigor
Control scope and evaluate change requests for value, risk, timeline, architecture fit, and funding
Partner with finance and sourcing on funding, forecasting, spend governance, contracts, and invoices
Manage vendor deliverables, acceptance criteria, knowledge transfer, contract execution, commercial governance, and invoice approval
Manage vendor performance, risks, dependencies, and corrective actions
Drive risk mitigation and partner with Quality and Regulatory teams on validation and compliance
Ensure audit-ready delivery, documentation completeness, traceability, controlled change management, and inspection readiness
Validate deployment plans, cutover and rollback strategies, runbook readiness, monitoring, hypercare, and support transition

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree
15+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 13+ years of experience with an advanced degree
Relevant domain experience in SAP Master Data Governance strategy and implementation, SAP integration patterns, middleware and data flows, SAP security/authorizations and compliance-driven controls, or release management, testing strategy, cutover planning, and support transition practices
Strongly preferred: 15+ years of progressive IT experience in large, complex enterprise environments
Experience as a technical architect and delivery leader on SAP transformation initiatives
Experience leading system integrators with accountability for delivery outcomes, quality, and timelines
Experience defining scope, managing change control, and driving execution across build/test/deploy/hypercare
Experience with enterprise architecture governance across integration, data, security, and cloud standards
Experience in medical devices, life sciences, or other regulated industries with validation expectations
Exposure to SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite/CPI, Cloud ALM/Solution Manager, and SAP DevOps tooling
Experience partnering with Enterprise Architecture organizations
Familiarity with master data operating models, data quality KPIs, and data lifecycle controls
For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
