About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead planning and execution activities across multiple concurrent tuck-in acquisitions, strategic partnerships, carveouts, and divestitures
  • Partner with business, corporate function, and technology stakeholders to develop and execute integration or separation plans aligned to transaction objectives and value creation goals
  • Drive sign-to-close planning, Day 1 readiness, post-close stabilization, and value realization activities
  • Balance speed, cost, risk, and business priorities
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage dependencies, and resolve execution issues across technology, business processes, and operating models
  • Identify, communicate, and escalate risks, decisions, and dependencies
  • Drive accountability to committed plans and milestones
  • Build trusted relationships with Corporate Development, integration leads, corporate functions, business leaders, and technology teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Medtronic’s IT M&A execution system, including playbooks, governance, tools, lessons learned, and execution practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of experience with an advanced degree
  • 7+ years of managerial experience
  • 7+ years of experience executing strategic programs, business transformations, integrations and/or M&A transactions
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives involving multiple corporate functions, technology teams, and external stakeholders within a large enterprise environment
  • Experience rapidly establishing credibility with business and technology stakeholders to deliver committed outcomes, resolve issues, and manage dependencies
  • Experience identifying, managing, and escalating risks, decisions, and execution challenges in complex programs or transaction environments
  • Experience evaluating and transforming business processes, operating models, and technology capabilities to support business objectives and value creation goals
  • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment; sponsorship is limited to Principal-level roles and above
  • For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
  • Preferred: experience in M&A, post-merger integration, separation, business transformation, management consulting, or private equity portfolio operations
  • Preferred: experience with ERP, commercial, manufacturing, quality, operations, data, cybersecurity, or related enterprise platforms
  • Preferred: experience in a large, global, matrixed organization
  • Preferred: experience in medical technology, healthcare, or another regulated industry
  • Preferred: experience directing strategic advisory partners or third-party vendors
  • Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP), MBA, or similar professional certification
