About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Shape and execute IT strategies for the Cranial and Spinal Technologies business
  • Translate business priorities into a forward-looking technology roadmap aligned with enterprise direction
  • Serve as a strategic partner and senior IT liaison to Operating Units, Regions, and Functions
  • Build understanding of business objectives, operating models, and transformation priorities
  • Lead joint prioritization of the IT portfolio
  • Establish and communicate investment cases, expected benefits, and ROI measures
  • Monitor outcomes and adjust priorities as business needs evolve
  • Facilitate alignment among business and IT decision-makers
  • Orchestrate delivery of IT products, platforms, services, and capabilities
  • Drive end-to-end requirements discovery and analysis
  • Convert complex business needs into capabilities, solution requirements, acceptance criteria, and measurable success outcomes
  • Lead or influence cross-functional transformation initiatives from concept through implementation
  • Ensure governance, execution discipline, stakeholder engagement, and benefits realization
  • Identify, connect, and resolve business and technology issues, dependencies, risks, and escalations
  • Provide thought leadership and mentoring in business relationship management, business analysis, and technology decision-making

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in business relationship management, strategic business analysis, product or portfolio planning, or comparable IT advisory roles supporting enterprise transformation
  • Experience translating business strategy into IT roadmaps, investment priorities, capabilities, and measurable business outcomes
  • Experience in the medical device, healthcare, life sciences, or another complex and highly regulated global industry
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT ecosystems, including business applications, integrations, data, infrastructure, cloud technologies, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience leading or influencing complex, cross-functional IT initiatives and multi-workstream projects
  • Experience with IT portfolio governance, demand management, prioritization, investment planning, resource or capacity management, and benefits tracking
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level facilitation
  • Strong analytical, systems-thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of healthcare, medical-device, privacy, security, and quality regulations and standards, including FDA requirements, HIPAA, and ISO 13485
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor others and improve business relationship management, business analysis, governance, and technology decision-making practices
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
  • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment, unless applicable Principal-level sponsorship applies
