About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop new medical products and maintain existing medical products
- Design, develop, conduct code reviews, debug, and test desktop applications and utilities in C++, Qt, and QML
- Create design documentation and conduct design reviews to support regulatory and business needs
- Determine software system design requirements
- Generate software project documentation
- Participate in product development from product vision and requirements through planning, system design, coding, testing, release, deployment, and support
- Build high-quality, maintainable software using industry design and architectural patterns
- Use Agile methodologies, including Scrum, to manage application development and medical application support
- Complete assigned work and coordinate with other team members
- Provide engineering support to business software systems and utilities
- Communicate with internal and external customers and vendors
- Guide, coach, and train other employees; manage complex projects and delegate and review work
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience developing desktop applications in C++ Qt/QML
- Experience in medical device industry or other regulated industry
- Experience with Security and Risk analysis
- Experience with GUI application design and development
- Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR PhD with 3 years relevant experience
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
- For roles below Principal level, unrestricted U.S. work authorization at hire and throughout employment is required
