About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Cover the entire state of Connecticut
- Manage territory-based business and growth
- Initiate, support and develop strategic implanting centers
- Assist in developing key referral networks
- Act as primary account/implanter relationship contact for assigned territory customer needs
- Manage account-level reimbursement responsibilities
- Coordinate support activities and develop sales partnerships with distribution alliances
- Sell implantable devices for specific therapies to physicians, institutions, payors and medical staff
- Sell Medtronic's value proposition
- Partner with strategic implanting centers to develop account/implanter practices
- Provide product and therapy technical support and service
- Consult on strategic management and analysis of sales trends
- Use Neuro business partners to present marketing and business plans for territory development and growth
- Maintain working knowledge of competitive products
- Ensure understanding of applicable quality policies and systems
- Follow work and quality procedures for quality-system compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of sales experience, including 3 years in medical sales; or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of Medtronic Neuroscience (Pain, Brain or Spine) Clinical Specialist experience
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
- Solid knowledge of reimbursement climate
- Familiarity with the operating room
- Solid job skills in business planning/consulting and territory financial analysis
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to effectively use a mobile phone, iPad and PC
- Ability to manage personal expenses and budget effectively
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment
