About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide expert judgment and advice to supervisors, managers, employees, and HR colleagues on employee relations matters
  • Design, implement, and develop an employee relations strategy aligned with business needs
  • Advise managers on disciplinary, grievance, performance management, diversity, bullying, and harassment issues
  • Manage employee relations cases, engage stakeholders, and develop solutions
  • Develop policies, training, and communications, and recommend proactive policy revisions
  • Lead preparation for WRC and legal matters
  • Support employee relations programs and initiatives
  • Monitor current employee relations legislation and update HR policies
  • Respond to employee relations queries and balance legal protection, employee experience, and risk
  • Counsel employees and management on employee and management issues
  • Conduct complex workplace investigations and disciplinary processes
  • Lead projects focused on reducing employee relations issues and developing manager self-sufficiency
  • Analyze employee relations data, identify trends, and implement proactive strategies using ServiceNow
  • Serve as the main point of contact for union engagement and industrial relations matters

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Level 8 Degree level in HR / Legal or related discipline
  • 4+ years relevant industry HR experience providing expert advice and judgment to relevant stakeholders in a cross functional organization
  • Ability to work effectively and proactively on cross functional teams
  • In-depth understanding of Irish employment law relating to case management and associated risks
  • Thorough understanding of HR policy and processes
  • Proven experience in employee relations
  • Previous experience in a unionized environment is an advantage
  • Strong credibility and ability to influence at a senior level
  • Strong stakeholder management and coaching skills
  • Ability to work at a strategic and operational level
  • Ability to manage high workloads and conflicting priorities
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
