About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead regional deployment of AMRs, cobots, automated cells, and vision inspection systems across Caribbean Region manufacturing sites
- Own execution from concept, feasibility, design, FAT/SAT, validation, and production release
- Ensure systems meet performance, reliability, regulatory, and documentation requirements
- Apply KTM methodology, Stage Gate Processes, Validation Lifecycle, governance cadences, and reporting standards
- Manage the regional automation portfolio, including schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and recovery plans
- Drive delivery aligned to capacity, cost optimization, quality, and business priorities
- Guide automation architectures and reusable solutions; evaluate emerging technologies for scalability and ROI
- Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and site engineering teams to drive ownership, readiness, and sustainment
- Communicate program status, risks, performance, and mitigation strategies to leadership
- Lead engagement with OEMs and system integrators; participate in supplier selection, RFQs, and technical reviews
- Champion standardization and continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead engineers and/or first-line managers; set goals, conduct performance reviews, coach, and develop talent
- Manage project expenses, capital expenditures, projected cost savings, and approved forecasts
- Develop and maintain a Caribbean project pipeline supporting future fiscal-year objectives, savings targets, and strategic goals
- Support hiring, onboarding, succession planning, and relationships across sites and global engineering teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree required in Engineering and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization required at the time of hire and for the duration of employment; U.S. work authorization sponsorship is not offered for roles below Principal level
- 25% travel
- Strong experience in automation systems, including AMRs, cobots, automated cells, and vision systems
- Experience in manufacturing or operations environments
- Project and program management of capital equipment
- Experience with validation lifecycle (IQ/OQ/PQ) in regulated industries
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex, multi-site automation programs
- Experience in medical device manufacturing automation deployment preferred
- PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent certification preferred
- Experience implementing advanced automation technologies and digital integration, including MES and data systems, preferred
- Strong vendor management and RFQ/supplier selection experience preferred
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
