About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead regional automation deployment and execution across Caribbean Region manufacturing sites
- Deploy AMRs, cobots, automated cells, and vision inspection systems
- Own execution from concept, feasibility, design, FAT/SAT, validation, and production release
- Ensure systems meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements
- Apply KTM methodology during project execution and deployment
- Manage the regional automation portfolio, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Identify risks and implement mitigation and recovery plans
- Drive delivery aligned to capacity, cost optimization, and quality priorities
- Guide automation architectures and reusable solutions
- Evaluate emerging automation technologies for scalability and ROI
- Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and site engineering teams
- Lead engagement with OEMs and system integrators
- Enforce stage gate, validation lifecycle, and documentation standards
- Lead engineers and/or first-line managers
- Set goals, conduct performance reviews, coach, and support development planning
- Manage project expenses, capital expenditures, and projected cost savings
- Develop and maintain a Caribbean project pipeline
- Communicate program status, risks, and performance to leadership
- Support hiring, onboarding, and succession planning
- Build relationships across sites and global engineering teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree required in Engineering and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience
- 25% travel
- Strong experience in automation systems, including AMRs, cobots, cells, and vision systems
- Experience in manufacturing / operations environments
- Project and program management of capital equipment
- Experience with validation lifecycle (IQ/OQ/PQ) in regulated industries
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex, multi-site automation programs
- Experience in medical device manufacturing automation deployment preferred
- PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent certification preferred
- Experience implementing advanced automation technologies and digital integration, including MES and data systems, preferred
- Strong vendor management and RFQ / supplier selection experience preferred
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization required at the time of hire and for the duration of employment
