About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support new-product market entry and legacy-product optimization by assessing reimbursement needs, risks, opportunities, and priorities
  • Advise product development, marketing, sales, regulatory, clinical, and business teams on reimbursement matters
  • Provide input on product strategy, indication expansion, evidence needs, and launch readiness
  • Evaluate the reimbursement environment in the United States and relevant global geographies
  • Support product development, launches, indication expansions, and portfolio management
  • Identify and address coding, coverage, and payment issues with HEPR colleagues
  • Provide timely support to internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Analyze Medicare regulations, commercial payer policies, coding developments, and reimbursement changes
  • Communicate implications and recommended actions to appropriate audiences
  • Assist with advocacy strategies and draft comments for CMS and commercial payers
  • Identify opportunities to enhance payment and access for Pain Interventions therapies
  • Create and deliver training and education for sales representatives, physicians, case managers, medical directors, billing personnel, and other stakeholders
  • Translate complex clinical, technical, coding, coverage, and payment information into actionable content
  • Design and implement internal and external reimbursement communications, tools, resources, and content
  • Use approved AI-enabled tools and automation to improve research, synthesis, drafting, workflow efficiency, and consistency
  • Protect confidential information, validate outputs, and comply with applicable policies and regulations
  • Review reimbursement information, data, policies, communications, and deliverables with high attention to detail
  • Report to the Global Program Senior Director for the Pain Interventions business
  • Work independently and collaboratively with HEPR and cross-functional teams to support patient access across the product lifecycle

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in health policy, health services, health economics, epidemiology, public administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in medical device or pharmaceutical reimbursement, health economics, healthcare coding, market access, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of US reimbursement processes, coding, coverage, payment, and payer/provider dynamics
  • Experience supporting products or therapies at different stages of commercialization, including new-product launch, market development, and legacy-product optimization, preferred
  • Ability to analyze complex information and translate technical or specialized content into clear, concise, and actionable information for non-experts
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, consistency, and quality
  • Ability to prioritize and manage simultaneous projects
  • Independent decision-making and cross-functional collaboration
  • Familiarity with approved AI tools, automation, and digital productivity technologies
  • Judgment to validate AI outputs and use tools responsibly and compliantly
  • Comfortable working virtually via collaboration tools
  • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment
  • For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
