About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own significant UI features and clinical workflows in Qt/QML
- Make architectural decisions on UI state, data binding, threading between UI and real-time data, and interaction patterns
- Partner with UX designers to translate designs into responsive production interfaces
- Own features, components, or subsystems end-to-end
- Determine technical approaches for complex component- and subsystem-level problems with limited supervision
- Lead development across design, implementation, integration, and support for assigned areas
- Contribute to software architecture, design improvements, engineering practices, and development processes
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, and guidance
- Collaborate across software, systems, hardware, and quality in a regulated environment
- Communicate technical issues, tradeoffs, and recommendations clearly to team members and stakeholders
- Build software for the Affera Prism Mapping System, an electrophysiology platform that maps cardiac anatomy and electrical activity in real time
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience
- Strong Python and/or C++ expertise
- Experience building large, complex software applications or subsystems
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
- Strong production experience building application UIs in Qt/QML
- Experience building real-time or data-rich interfaces
- Strong understanding of UI architecture: state management, data binding, threading between UI and real-time data
- Experience with Linux, networking, and multi-device or distributed systems
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and automated testing
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Experience contributing to architecture, design standards, or technical direction
- Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams in a regulated or quality-driven environment
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment; sponsorship is not offered for roles below Principal level
