About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain platform software and build infrastructure
- Create and support Yocto-based Linux distributions for varied hardware targets
- Create CI/CD pipelines integrated with security and functionality automation tools
- Support secure networking, secure boot, and OS update mechanisms
- Maintain platform support for containerized applications using Docker
- Collaborate with product teams to define platform capabilities
- Develop and document platform aspects required for regulatory approval
- Serve as a subject matter expert on operating system platform best practices
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and internal stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
- Experience configuring and customizing Linux
- Experience creating Yocto-based Linux distributions
- Hands-on experience with security principles and best practices, including secure boot and software security hardening
- Experience with containerization technologies, particularly Docker
- Practical experience integrating and optimizing NVIDIA drivers and related GPU software stacks within Linux and Yocto-based systems
- Candidates for roles below Principal level must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at hire and throughout employment
- Proficiency in Python, C++, Bash, or similar preferred
- Familiarity with CI/CD, build automation, package management, and collaborative development workflows preferred
- Solid understanding of network protocols and services preferred
- Familiarity with medical-device compliance standards and security frameworks, including HIPAA and FDA regulations, preferred
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills preferred
