Senior Manager, International Programs

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and drive the full lifecycle of international programs from contract kickoff through solution delivery, proof of concept execution, operational deployment, and ongoing support
- Translate signed contracts into executable program plans with milestones, deliverables, ownership, and accountability
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, and technical risk across concurrent programs
- Ensure contract deliverables, documentation, reporting, invoicing, and compliance artifacts are completed accurately and on time
- Serve as the primary customer contact and build relationships with decision-makers and technical counterparts
- Align Legal, Finance, Product, Science, Engineering, and Customer Success teams
- Resolve blockers and maintain program momentum
- Manage external partners, subcontractors, and integrators
- Support Business Development and Sales with deal reviews, proof-of-concept scope validation, and technical and financial analysis
- Contribute to proposals and response efforts
- Orchestrate the pre-sale technical motion
- Report program health, risks, and progress to senior leadership
- Build and maintain program tracking, governance frameworks, and reporting standards
- Provide guidance and governance support to regionally distributed team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of hands-on program or project management experience delivering complex technical programs for or with large-scale customers in demanding environments
- Direct delivery responsibility, not advisory or consulting roles where execution sat with another team
- Track record of personally owning and delivering programs end to end across international markets
- Experience building structures and processes needed to execute
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent programs across different countries, time zones, and regulatory frameworks
- Strong cross-functional influence skills across engineering, science, legal, and product teams
- Direct experience navigating international procurement processes, contracting norms, cultural expectations, and compliance requirements
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- Willingness to travel internationally as programs require
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual unless required export-control licenses are obtained
- Strong plus: experience in high-stakes or mission-critical environments
- Strong plus: experience with weather, climate, earth observation, or environmental monitoring technologies
- Strong plus: familiarity with SaaS or Data-as-a-Service delivery models
- Strong plus: experience with solicited and unsolicited international deal paths
- Strong plus: commercial acumen in deal economics, pricing, contract negotiation, and margin impact
- Strong plus: additional languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, Thai, Bahasa, or French
- Strong plus: experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment
