About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze the Operations cost base, working closely with Procurement and Network Strategy teams to proactively identify opportunities and cost-saving initiatives
- Modify and enhance current business workflows, including evaluating new AI solutions for efficiencies and scalability through acquisitions and organic growth
- Provide monthly reporting on key performance indicators for COGS and Capex
- Build financial year budgetary requirements for COGS and Capex
- Maintain prudent cost control of the network services driving Megaport products and services
- Construct reporting and business process systems to help justify expenditure and drive internal process efficiencies
- Improve operational processes and the way the Megaport Operations Team operates
- Report to the Business Services Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong Excel financial modelling skills with expertise in budgeting and reporting
- Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Ability to write clear and concise business requirements and objectives to an Executive audience
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
- Working knowledge of AI and business integration
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in business analytics or a related field (nice to have, but not essential)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and cost management (nice to have, but not essential)
- Experience with global Networking Technologies (nice to have, but not essential)
