About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with preparing outgoing shipments
- Obtain and process product orders, including proper labeling and postal charges
- Troubleshoot shipping issues and notify the supervisor when items require additional attention
- Inspect shipments to ensure they meet Meissner’s standards
- Organize items ready for shipment in appropriate areas
- Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery to move or store inventory
Requirements
What you’ll need- Some shipping experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to record production results
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to learn basic computer skills
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts
