About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive on-time, high-quality delivery for product development, customer projects, and internal initiatives supporting biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment
- Shape project charters and plans with project teams
- Manage schedule, cost, scope changes, risks, resources, and stakeholder expectations
- Identify stakeholders and affected departments and resolve cross-functional obstacles
- Facilitate project planning and capture requirements, deliverables, schedules, risks, and resource needs
- Build and maintain transparent project management systems that drive ownership
- Communicate priorities, decisions, and status and facilitate project discussions and reviews
- Track issues across active projects, prioritize emergent issues, assign resolution ownership, and escalate appropriately
- Provide visibility into progress, dependencies, and forecasted delivery
- Track project costs against budget and flag variances
- Foster proactive risk management and mitigation
- Control changes to scope, budget, and timeline
- Identify and resolve resource and capacity conflicts across the project portfolio
- Own project reporting, dashboards, updates, and presentations to leadership
- Define and maintain delivery performance metrics, including schedule adherence, estimate accuracy, and cycle time
- Plan and manage projects in alignment with quality and regulatory requirements, including FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ, and GAMP 5 where applicable
- Improve the department's project management practice through preventative processes, tools, and mentoring
- Apply knowledge of Meissner products, platforms, and pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing
- Evaluate project management tools and AI-based approaches
- Capture lessons learned and drive project closeout, documentation transfer, resource release, and resolution of open items
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Biomedical Engineering
- A related technical degree paired with hardware project delivery experience will be considered
- 5+ years of experience in project delivery within an engineering, manufacturing, or other technical, regulated industry environment
- Experience delivering hardware or consumable projects through a full development and qualification cycle, including design, build, test, and launch
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is preferred
- PMP, CAPM, or an equivalent project management certification is preferred but not required
- Proficiency with MS Office software including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Proficiency with project management software such as Microsoft Project or ClickUp
- Experience building and maintaining project dashboards is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications, drawings, and test protocols
- Ability to hold substantive technical conversations with engineers
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate input from multiple stakeholders and synthesize it into a clear, actionable plan
- Ability to hold cross-functional teams accountable and drive ambiguous or contested decisions toward resolution
- Experience applying AI-based and other emerging tools to improve planning, reporting, or risk management is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-centric, nimble, and driven to tackle high-leverage work directly
- Must satisfy applicable U.S. export-control access requirements: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. government authorizations
- Travel may be required for up to 10% of the time, domestically and internationally
