About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term strategy aligned with Quality Department goals
  • Establish and maintain analytical and reporting standards across the department and enterprise for quality, patient safety, and clinical effectiveness
  • Develop and facilitate intake governance to prioritize quality work requests
  • Coordinate with enterprise analytics teams to improve collaboration, alignment, and standardization
  • Scale and optimize quality analytics capabilities, including forecasting and prediction for externally reported quality programs
  • Establish and optimize organizational structures for Quality Analytics
  • Provide strategic leadership to standardize reporting capabilities, processes, and resources
  • Collaborate with managers, physicians, and senior leadership to improve operations quality through analytics and reporting
  • Create and maintain frameworks for continuous monitoring and improvement of clinical service value
  • Develop standards to measure quality, cost, and patient-centered care
  • Oversee data sources and databases to ensure functional distribution of meaningful reports
  • Organize, present, and facilitate analysis and clinical-effectiveness data distribution
  • Lead matrixed clinical and non-clinical teams toward strategic objectives
  • Manage departmental human resources and labor/non-labor budgets
  • Evaluate Quality Analytics efficiency and maximize output
  • Direct analysis and reporting of clinical utilization, cost, financial, claims, and clinical data
  • Oversee timelines, monitor performance, and mitigate risks
  • Develop and maintain the Quality Analytics technology roadmap
  • Collaborate with Central Analytics on enterprise-wide data governance and data stewardship
  • Ensure compliance with Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, standards, and safety requirements
  • Support professional development and serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in a work-related field/discipline (e.g., mathematics, economics, engineering, computer science) from an accredited college or university required
  • Master's Degree in a work-related field/discipline preferred
  • Epic or related database certification or training preferred
  • Seven (7) years of experience in a complex health system
  • Five (5) years of supervisory experience in complex environments
  • Five (5) years of experience deploying operational reporting and/or business intelligence solutions in a complex health system
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced presentation skills
