About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in delivering patient care using the nursing process
  • Provide professional nursing care, including nursing assessments, assistance with examinations and treatment, patient education, and medical-record maintenance
  • Deliver safe and appropriate care according to nursing skills inventory and patient age and needs
  • Coordinate nursing-care planning and make appropriate clinical decisions
  • Collaborate with, direct, and delegate to the healthcare team
  • Coordinate treatment plans and develop or implement discharge and transfer plans
  • Participate in interdisciplinary evaluation, process improvement, and client-centered outcomes
  • Address diverse patient needs throughout the continuum of care and optimize the patient experience
  • Promote a safe, accountable, and resource-conscious environment
  • Support department goals and contribute to organizational success
  • Serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff
  • Perform other duties within scope of practice and clinical competency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • One year of recent M/S Tele experience required within the last 3 years
  • Minimum of two years of recent RN experience required
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
  • Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • NIHSS certification
  • Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Must adhere to regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards
