About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Transport patients and their belongings throughout the hospital campus
- Transport hospital equipment, laboratory specimens, and expired patient and medical charts to designated areas
- Interact with patients, family members, and staff to ensure patient safety and timely patient movement
- Transport discharged and transferred patients to designated areas
- Transport patients to and from clinics and departments for medical tests with required equipment and medical charts
- Adhere to Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, standards, budget, time management, supply management, productivity, and service quality requirements
- Support department-based goals and serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff
- Provide safe, compassionate, personalized, and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Ability to communicate well with others
- Commitment to completing mandatory/continuing education and skills competency requirements
