About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Mentor with a Registered Nurse in providing patient care
- Perform related clinical and clerical functions to build clinical competency and confidence
- Apply clinical knowledge and practice clinical skills under RN supervision
- Perform indirect and direct patient care within the Professional Student Nurse Skills Inventory
- Perform tasks assigned by the RN according to training and capabilities
- Collaborate with the inter-professional healthcare team by communicating and reporting pertinent patient care information and data
- Provide safe, accurate, compassionate, personalized, and efficient patient care
- Manage time, supplies, productivity, and practice accuracy within budgetary specifications
- Complete mandatory and continuing education and maintain skills competency
- Support department-based goals and organizational success
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled in an accredited school of professional nursing (RN) or recent graduate (within 120 days) of an accredited school of professional nursing (RN)
- Currently enrolled in a BSN program
- Verify academic standing by submitting an unofficial school transcript
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification
- Ability to understand written instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to perform duties requiring prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting
- Graduating nursing school December 2027 or later
- Previous customer service experience
- Interest in working on Cardiac IMU post-graduation in the RN role
