About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report to the Senior Director, Investments or Director, Investments
- Work closely with the investment office to manage MHHS investment portfolios
- Support workflow within Public Equities, Hedge Funds/Fixed Income, or Private Markets
- Conduct fund manager due diligence
- Monitor investment portfolios and maintain performance monitoring systems
- Make recommendations on manager sizing, portfolio construction, and asset allocation
- Partner with the Investment Consultant and other relevant investment office vendors
- Review and ensure compliance with the Investment Policy Statement
- Prepare ongoing internal reporting, including for the Investment Committee
- Seek education to meet skills competency
- Work with colleagues to support a high-performing and inclusive environment
- Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors while adhering to Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, standards, budget, time management, supply management, productivity, and quality of service requirements
- Support department-based goals and serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff
- Create compassionate and personalized experiences for every member of the community
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required
- MBA preferred
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred
- Two (2) years of investment management experience preferred
- Allocator experience preferred, including conducting investment due diligence on fund managers
- Experience in the non-profit investment management space preferred, such as universities, endowments, or healthcare
- Organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with diverse teams
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to mandatory/continuing education and skills competency
