Senior Manager, Operations

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure safety, leadership, and profitable operation of allocated RPM Service Centers
- Scope, solution, cost, and implement new opportunities
- Build, maintain, and develop Service Center Manager teams
- Provide leadership across RPM while demonstrating ORBIS values and culture
- Oversee daily operations across allocated Service Centers
- Review production metrics, KPIs, financial statements, and expenses
- Adjust operations to meet customer, production, safety, quality, and financial goals
- Drive accountability to standard operating procedures and ORBIS policies
- Share best practices with operations, regional, safety, quality, and human resources teams
- Perform Service Center site visits and audits
- Maintain professional relationships with allocated customers
- Develop continuous improvement plans focused on operational excellence, employee relations, and financial strategies
- Review performance and provide corrective action for direct reports
- Motivate, train, and develop team members for succession planning and future opportunities
- Serve as RPM operations subject matter expert for Commercial on new opportunities
- Scope opportunities through customer site visits and RFP reviews
- Develop solutions with customers, Commercial, Engineering, and vendors, including building, labor, equipment, and automation
- Build cost models with Finance and Commercial
- Plan, resource, and project-manage secured opportunities through successful and profitable startup
- Pass company training programs and meet budget, safety, and quality requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED required
- Must maintain Company approved Fork Lift Operator's Licenses, potentially including one or more different types of forklifts
- Minimum of 8 years direct oversight and management experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment with a proven track record of success and stability
- Must be able to read and comprehend written and oral instructions in English, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and product recipes/material identifications
- Proven understanding of safety and OSHA-compliant processes
- Proven ability to effectively manage and develop a diverse team and facilitate effective cross-business synergies
- Intermediate financial knowledge sufficient to understand, build, and manage financial budgets and statements
- Trained and proficient utilizing LEAN Manufacturing practices
- At least 3 years of LEAN, 5S, and process improvement experience
- 75% travel required to support assigned regional locations
- Valid driver's license required; Motor Vehicle Report required
