About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the liaison between Mercafacil’s Legal team and operations
  • Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle operations
  • Understand requests, resolve matters within your scope, and prepare issues for attorneys
  • Work with Compliance leadership and external legal partners
  • Maintain direct contact with the Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams
  • Review contracts and amendments before signature, ensuring legal and operational accuracy
  • Finalize renewal amendments and adjust proposals using standard clauses
  • Receive, qualify, and prioritize requests from internal teams
  • Gather the information attorneys need and keep requesters informed about timelines and status
  • Support Sales, Customer Success, and Finance with adjustments, overdue payments, terminations, and notices
  • Explain contractual obligations and available resolution paths
  • Conduct initial analyses of contract amendment requests
  • Support leadership and attorneys in negotiating clauses with clients and suppliers
  • Operate Contraktor and support its implementation with the vendor
  • Keep the contract database up to date, monitoring deadlines, expiration dates, and renewals
  • Create training materials for internal teams
  • Participate in client meetings to present the new contract model

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress in Law, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Practical experience with commercial contracts, including reading, reviewing, and revising clauses
  • Experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, procurement, vendor contracting, supply chain, or legal-administrative roles
  • Ability to read a contract and clearly explain the parties’ obligations
  • Experience working in high-volume environments with strict deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word or Google Docs, including track changes, templates, and version comparison
  • Clear, concise writing for communicating with clients and internal teams
  • Interest in the legal, operational, and process aspects of the role
  • Paralegal or legal administrative analyst experience is a plus
  • Experience in technology companies, SaaS, startups, or industries with high contract volumes is a plus
  • Experience using generative AI in day-to-day work is a plus
  • Familiarity with CLM or electronic signature systems, such as Contraktor or DocuSign, is a plus
  • Knowledge of Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD) is a plus
  • English reading proficiency is a plus
