About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide overall leadership for the Tift College of Education
- Oversee the College's academic quality, strategic direction, financial health, and operational effectiveness
- Lead academic programs, innovation, personnel, and budget
- Inspire faculty, staff, and students through a shared vision and inclusive leadership
- Build strong partnerships with school systems and community organizations
- Navigate the evolving landscape of educator preparation and workforce development in Georgia and beyond
- Report to the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost
Requirements
What you’ll need- Terminal degree from an accredited institution in a field relevant to the College's academic portfolio
- Academic credentials sufficient for appointment as a tenured full professor within the College
- Significant progressive leadership experience in higher education
- Demonstrated responsibility for academic programs, innovation, personnel, and budget
- Deep roots in teacher education and educational leadership programs
- Scholarly credibility
- Demonstrated record of building innovative, equity-oriented, and transformative learning experiences
- Ability to build strong partnerships with school systems and community organizations
- Ability to navigate the evolving landscape of educator preparation and workforce development in Georgia and beyond
- Candidates should submit a letter of interest addressing the leadership agenda and a curriculum vitae/resumé
- Ability to work on-site in Atlanta or Macon, Georgia, with travel to all locations within the state
