Originations Associate

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review applications from prospective clients, performing checks and following up on opportunities needing attention
- Organize, enter, and save documents into Salesforce to assess companies’ financial situations
- Prioritize incoming requests from partners based on predetermined criteria, including email correspondence and eligibility confirmation
- Analyze submissions to determine whether they can be declined at an early stage
- Track deal lifecycles by proactively completing due diligence tasks
- Verify sales and perform credit checks on related business owners using proprietary data scoring models
- Create agreements and verify customer details
- Gather and synthesize business information from internet searches, credit and bankruptcy reports, and industry information
- Support underwriting and sales teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM
- Experience in administrative or financial roles preferred
- High level of computer literacy
- Comfortable in a busy operation and able to remain calm under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to thrive in an agile and fast-paced environment
- Professionalism, integrity, and strong business acumen
- Self-motivation and proactive problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- French language skills are an asset
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms is an asset
