About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sort, scan and complete data entry of Audit and Denials correspondence accurately and within pre-defined timeframes
  • Maintain data integrity of all records recorded in the Audit and Appeal software solution
  • Work with others involved in the audit and appeal process
  • Prioritize and organize multiple tasks and projects to meet departmental and Mercy-wide goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification
  • Two years related healthcare experience in revenue cycle, health information management, auditing or patient accounting experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize various tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information
  • Knowledge of computer applications and their implications on the audit and appeal process
  • Ability to work independently in a collaborative manner
  • Ability to travel periodically across the Ministry as required
