Key responsibilities & impact
  • Answer 90% of incoming calls from providers, members, facilities, and primary care offices regarding eligibility, benefits, claims, and authorization of services
  • Serve as a frontline contact for Managed Behavioral Health and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) members and providers
  • Explain organizational policies, procedures, and programs
  • Solve problems and represent the organization positively to callers
  • Complete initial intake documentation in the appropriate electronic health records
  • Provide consistently outstanding service to internal and external customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Experience in customer service and/or health care environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Professionalism in handling calls under stress
  • Proficiency in typing and computer programs
  • BA in psychology, social services, or health administration preferred
