About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead functional delivery for complex Workday Financials implementations serving public sector organizations
Participate in one or more Workday Financials functional workstreams through the full implementation lifecycle
Facilitate discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support
Translate business requirements into scalable Workday configurations aligned with Solution Architecture and Workday best practices
Drive workstream deliverables, timelines, issue resolution, and client communication
Configure Workday Financials across functional areas including FDM, Core Financials, Procurement, Grants, Expenses, Banking, or Financial Reporting
Conduct design sessions and prototype solutions with client stakeholders
Identify configuration impacts across connected Financials processes
Support testing, defect resolution, and deployment planning
Serve as day-to-day client contact for assigned workstreams and build relationships with Finance, IT, and project leadership
Communicate risks, recommendations, and implementation decisions to leadership
Produce configuration documentation, workbooks, and testing materials
Ensure adherence to delivery methodology and quality standards
Escalate risks and recommend practical solutions
Mentor Consultants and Associate Consultants, review work products, provide coaching, and share best practices
Support recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding
Contribute to practice development and delivery improvements
Help expand Meridian's public sector Workday capabilities
Travel domestically up to 30%

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of Workday Financials implementation experience
Active Workday Implementer Certifications with a minimum of two certifications
Experience in functional workstreams through at least one full-lifecycle Workday implementation
Strong expertise in one or more of: Financial Data Model (FDM), Financial Accounting, Procurement, Grants, Financial Reporting, Expenses, Banking & Settlements, or Business Assets
Experience facilitating client design workshops and managing functional deliverables
Must reside within the United States
Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future
Public sector implementation experience preferred, including state/local government, higher education, or K–12
Record to Report certification preferred
