About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, establish and continuously develop a structured supplier management system for the MERKUR GROUP
  • Develop and implement standardized evaluation, classification and development frameworks
  • Prepare and maintain supplier evaluations based on defined criteria
  • Coordinate supplier meetings, review meetings, action plans and escalations
  • Support Procurement with tenders, framework agreements, price and terms analyses, and supplier selection
  • Contribute to developing standardized requirements for suppliers and service providers
  • Analyze procurement-related key performance indicators and prepare meaningful reports
  • Derive recommendations for improving supplier portfolios, categories and procurement processes
  • Contribute to standardizing and digitizing procurement and supplier processes
  • Coordinate relevant supplier master data and documentation, taking compliance, due diligence obligations and supplier compliance into account

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Successfully completed commercial training or comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in procurement, supplier management or supply chain management
  • Experience managing supplier relationships
  • Strong analytical understanding and experience analyzing and evaluating key performance indicators
  • Basic understanding of compliance, due diligence obligations and the requirements of the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act
  • SAP and e-procurement system knowledge is desirable
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Confident manner when interacting with different departments
  • Good command of English
