About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish, govern, and continuously improve configuration management capability
- Define and implement Configuration Management policies, processes, and governance frameworks
- Build, maintain, and enhance the ServiceNow CMDB
- Develop CMDB data models, Discovery, and Identification & Reconciliation rules
- Deliver Service Mapping and CSDM initiatives
- Ensure accurate service and infrastructure relationships
- Monitor and improve CMDB data quality through governance, dashboards, certifications, and the 3Cs: Completeness, Compliance, and Correctness
- Engage IT and business stakeholders to drive CMDB adoption, data ownership, and continuous improvement
- Help maximise the value of ServiceNow
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience implementing and maturing Configuration Management practices
- Strong hands-on experience building and managing ServiceNow CMDBs
- Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Identification & Reconciliation (IRE), and CMDB data modelling
- Strong understanding of Service Mapping and Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
- Experience developing CMDB governance, data quality frameworks, and health reporting
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
- ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS Discovery, CIS Service Mapping, or similar) desirable
- Knowledge of ITIL and IT Asset Management best practices desirable
- Experience with Software Asset Management (SAM) and ITAM processes desirable
- Experience working within complex enterprise environments desirable
- Must have or be willing to go through Security Clearance
- Must complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard as part of onboarding
