About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Answer inbound calls from business customers regarding billing issues, technical issues, and general questions
  • Assist customers with questions and concerns about Metronet products and services
  • Research and resolve customer issues using various tools and systems
  • Process credit applications and activate service
  • Maintain appropriate records
  • Prepare required reports
  • Update customer accounts
  • Answer customer requests and inquiries concerning services and products
  • Report problem areas
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, services, and promotions
  • Make system recommendations based on customer equipment specifications and needs
  • Determine customer billing issues and provide solutions
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
  • At least 1+ year of related experience or experience within a high-volume call center environment
  • Detail-oriented with a strong ability to follow procedures
  • Solid problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to deescalate or persuade customers
  • Customer service, initiative, and problem-solving competencies
  • Ability to work after 5 p.m. and weekends (8–12 p.m. CST) as needed on a shift rotation
