About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a portfolio of U.S.-based customer accounts throughout the customer lifecycle
- Build authentic relationships and become a trusted partner to customer stakeholders
- Conduct proactive outreach, pulse checks, account reviews, and strategic follow-ups
- Understand customers’ businesses, operational challenges, goals, and decision-making processes
- Monitor customer activity, platform usage, adoption, engagement, and account health
- Identify at-risk accounts and create retention or recovery plans
- Reactivate customers who have reduced or stopped using the platform
- Manage escalations and difficult customer conversations
- Identify upsell, cross-sell, referral, and account expansion opportunities
- Expand relationships into additional locations or business units
- Own customer initiatives from initial conversation through execution and final follow-up
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Product, and other internal teams
- Ensure demonstrations, implementations, commitments, and follow-ups happen as planned
- Maintain accurate account records, activities, opportunities, and next steps in the CRM
- Balance proactive account development with urgent customer needs
- Prioritize accounts based on health, engagement, growth potential, and business impact
- Respond to time-sensitive customer situations, including occasional needs outside standard business hours
- Measure success through customer activity, platform usage, retention, reactivation, engagement, adoption, expansion, and account growth outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced or fluent English (almost native preferred)
- Experience working directly with U.S.-based customers
- Currently living in Guadalajara, Jalisco
- Valid U.S. visa and availability for occasional business travel
- 2+ years of experience in B2B Account Management, Customer Success, Client Partnerships, or relationship-based sales
- Experience managing and growing a customer portfolio or book of business
- Proven results in customer retention, reactivation, adoption, renewals, upselling, cross-selling, or account expansion
- Experience working toward measurable retention, revenue, growth, adoption, or quota-based goals
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, objection-handling, and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable with proactive outreach, difficult customer conversations, and persistent follow-up
- Organized, resilient, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where processes are still evolving
- Comfortable with performance-based compensation
- Preferred experience in SaaS, technology, healthcare, senior living, staffing, marketplaces, hospitality, insurance, or another B2B customer-focused industry
- Preferred experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, or a similar CRM
- Preferred experience building customer programs or processes from scratch
- Preferred previous work in a startup, scale-up, or performance-driven environment
