About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the VMD (Vegetation Management Database) used with PG&E’s Vegetation Management program
  • Receive downloads of data from field personnel
  • Transfer data across various computer programs
  • Generate and close out Work Requests
  • Create pre-load files
  • Track refusals and EC notifications/cases
  • Troubleshoot the database
  • Print reports, copy and distribute data, file reports, and perform analyses
  • Communicate hand-held device procedures to field personnel
  • Maintain VMDSR as directed by the PG&E Representative
  • Maintain an area equipment inventory
  • Facilitate timely and accurate reports
  • Ensure project folders contain all necessary records before archiving
  • Perform other work as directed by the SVMI or PG&E Representative

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with computers, office equipment and data entry equipment
  • Ability to effectively communicate procedures for use of hand-held devices to field personnel
  • Ability to resolve user problems
  • Pre-employment Controlled Substances testing required after a conditional offer, with a negative result required as a condition of employment
  • Sitting for long periods of time working at the computer
  • Travel may be required
