About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide overall project delivery guidance
  • Manage construction administration for primarily general aviation airport clients
  • Work with regional aviation leadership to guide Texas airport development projects
  • Coordinate with cost estimators, GIS specialists, designers, architects, and engineers
  • Engage in technical activities within the Texas aviation practice
  • Help build the business backlog
  • Market services and capabilities
  • Pursue new business opportunities
  • Maintain project delivery quality and safety
  • Prepare construction cost estimates, reports, and client presentations
  • Provide construction engineering services, including shop drawing review and responses to contractor questions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related engineering field required, or significant applicable experience
  • 7+ years of experience in aviation and aviation project construction management
  • Excellent English language skills, written and verbal
  • Familiarity with TxDOT Aviation methodology for design and construction of airport projects
  • Strong understanding of FAA Design Circulars and Construction Specifications
  • Background in airport design or construction
  • Experience in airfield pavement reconstruction and rehabilitation, hangars, and general airport improvement projects
  • Aptitude for communicating with owner/client staff, contractors, and subconsultants
  • Ability to quickly learn company policies, procedures, relevant software, service offerings, and client standards
  • Track record of safely delivering projects on time, under budget, and with high quality
  • Ability to build relationships, multitask, and prioritize competing project obligations
