About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and develop the Product Design team, line managing five designers
- Set standards for craft, judgement and ownership
- Define and uphold the experience bar across customer-facing native, web and back-office platforms
- Ensure coherence across squads and user journeys
- Shape long-term experience direction and codify guiding principles
- Mature and drive adoption of design systems
- Partner with Product and Engineering leadership on strategy, problem framing and trade-offs
- Contribute hands-on to complex, high-impact initiatives through visual and interaction design
- Collaborate with Brand, Creative, Growth, CRM and Games teams
- Explore and integrate emerging technologies, including AI
- Strengthen structures and standards that scale experience quality as the company grows
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience operating at scale and shaping design direction across multiple teams and surfaces
- Experience building or maturing design systems
- Hands-on visual and interaction design capability
- Experience contributing to high-stakes initiatives
- Experience partnering strategically with Product and Engineering leaders
- Experience developing designers through feedback, coaching and hiring
- Exceptional visual and interaction design taste
- Strong product instincts
- Clear and practical communication across disciplines and seniority levels
- Curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI
- Deep interest in building well-designed digital products
- Full right to work in the UK
- Currently based in the UK
- Must not require sponsorship to work in the UK
