About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a senior customer-facing representative for Millennium across Navy and DoD accounts
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and industry partners
  • Identify emerging requirements, mission needs, acquisition activity, and new business opportunities
  • Develop and execute customer engagement and relationship strategies
  • Identify, qualify, and develop a pipeline of Navy and DoD opportunities
  • Partner with Operations and Business Development leadership to translate customer insights into growth strategies and qualified pursuits
  • Develop short- and long-range Navy/DoD growth and campaign plans, including opportunity forecasts and customer engagement strategies
  • Monitor and analyze acquisition forecasts, FPDS, GovWin, customer forecasts, industry intelligence, and other relevant sources
  • Support capture strategies, capability presentations, white papers, RFI/RFP responses, Sources Sought responses, and other business development materials
  • Develop and deliver capability briefings, customer presentations, and engagement materials tailored to Navy and DoD audiences
  • Represent Millennium at industry conferences, networking events, customer engagements, and other forums
  • Collaborate across the organization to differentiate Millennium’s capabilities and strengthen its competitive position
  • Assist with Business Development activities, including technical interviews, technical documentation, proposal writing support, and proposal color reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 12+ years of experience in business development, customer engagement, growth, capture, or a related role supporting the U.S. Navy and/or Department of Defense
  • Demonstrated experience working within a Navy acquisition, program office, cyber, or related DoD environment
  • Established professional relationships and a demonstrated network across Navy/DoD customers and relevant industry partners
  • Experience identifying, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities within the federal government contracting environment
  • Strong understanding of the Navy/DoD acquisition lifecycle, including RFI/RFQ/RFP processes, Sources Sought, acquisition forecasts, and other procurement mechanisms
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with senior government and industry stakeholders and build trusted customer relationships
  • Strong understanding of Navy/DoD mission requirements, particularly within cybersecurity and/or technical services environments
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to or leading the pursuit of significant ($20M+) federal opportunities
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across Operations, Business Development, Capture, and other corporate functions
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% for customer engagements, industry events, conferences, and networking activities
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience supporting SETA, cybersecurity, engineering, or other technical services within the Navy/DoD market (preferred)
  • Previous experience within a Navy acquisition program office (preferred)
  • Experience developing or executing multi-year growth/campaign strategies (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience supporting opportunities through capture and/or award with $20M+ contract values (preferred)
  • Program or project management experience with P&L responsibility (preferred)
  • Established relationships with senior Navy/DoD leadership and industry partners (preferred)
