About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead all leadership activities within the store
- Report to the Regional Manager
- Develop, lead, and motivate a team through goal setting, recognition, coaching, feedback, and training
- Manage the full life cycle of talent acquisition
- Partner with Human Resources on performance management situations
- Ensure store procedures, visual directives, presentations, and housekeeping standards are followed
- Maximize profit and manage expense control goals
- Lead floorplan creation, design presentations, weekly trade, and home visits
- Build positive working relationships with the store team
- Share business insights and best practices with the Regional Manager
- Develop strategies to grow the business
Requirements
What you’ll need- Retail management experience preferred
- Demonstrated design skills and a passion for the design profession
- Financial literacy and business acumen
- Ability to manage budgetary responsibilities
- Proficiency with MS Office software, web navigation, and 3-D rendering programs
- Able to routinely move objects weighing more than 20 pounds
- Understanding of safety requirements
- Weekend and holiday availability required
