About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase market share within the assigned territory
  • Identify targeted hospitals, surgical centers, and related entities
  • Promote and sell company products and tissues to established customers and new prospects
  • Drive sales growth and achieve defined sales performance goals
  • Identify and execute market opportunities through marketing strategies and sales plans
  • Conduct large-group and individual presentations on company products and their uses
  • Research and resolve customer purchase-order issues within established policies
  • Collaborate with the wound account executive and management to support physicians using company products
  • Report and track sales activities and territory sales forecasts accurately and timely
  • Monitor industry activity, updates, and local market knowledge
  • Use scientific medical studies to educate customers and prospects about product properties, results, and outcomes
  • Establish territory plans to achieve current-period and long-term revenue and sales goals
  • Work at customer/clinical sites and/or from a home office
  • Travel locally and/or long distance within the assigned territory regularly

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS/BA in related discipline
  • 2–5 years of experience in a related field with 1–3 years in progressively responsible positions, or verifiable ability
  • OR MS/MA and 1–3 years of experience in a related field
  • Certification is required in some areas
  • Preferred 3–4 years of experience in the medical device, biotechnology, and tissue segments of the healthcare industry
  • Previous experience in high-growth organizations and developing relationships that fueled organizational growth
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management, customers, and internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, strategic and technical analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze markets, plan sales strategies, and present clinical and scientific data to physicians
  • Proven track record of sales results and recognitions
  • Successful track record of achieving sales goals and growing top-line results
  • Demonstrated skills in strategic selling and market analytics
  • Ability to build a moderate-size network of healthcare-provider relationships
  • Must maintain up-to-date vaccinations for customer-site credentialing and registration
