About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Decide what to work on and why using user research, support patterns, partner feedback, and business priorities
  • Define goals, non-goals, acceptance criteria, dependencies, scope, and sequence
  • Work with engineering on capacity and feasibility and maintain a realistic roadmap
  • Connect product, design, and engineering and resolve product questions during implementation
  • Document decisions and reasoning for asynchronous collaboration
  • Define success measures such as adoption, task completion, failure rates, and support load
  • Establish release tracking, validate data usability, and use findings to guide next steps
  • Manage partner, academic team, support, and leadership needs and commitments
  • Address integration, privacy, operational constraints, issues, expectations, and follow-through with partners and customer-facing teams
  • Support workflow testing, prioritize defects, and assess release readiness
  • Coordinate launch communication and accurate customer documentation
  • Analyze post-launch usage and feedback and turn findings into product improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience independently owning software product work from problem definition through launch and follow-up
  • Clear examples of product decisions made and resulting outcomes
  • Sound judgment about prioritization and scope
  • Experience working closely with designers and engineers on products with complex workflows, multiple user roles, or competing stakeholder needs
  • Comfort reasoning with data and making decisions with incomplete evidence
  • Strong writing and clear communication with technical and nontechnical people
  • Ability to organize own work, surface risks early, and close open questions in a distributed team
  • Interest in education and patience to understand learners, educators, and administrators using software
  • Ability to maintain regular working-hour overlap with the team
  • Specific degree or tool background is not required; education/education technology experience, teaching, institutional customers, learning-platform integrations, or product analytics are a plus
